These Tingshas are hand cast by Tibetan artisans. Tingshas are struck together to produce a clear, pure, long-lasting sound, during meditation, to remove negative energies. These Tingsha cymbals are thick, 2.75 inches in diameter, are made from seven metals and are embossed with Ashtmangala, representing the eight Tibetan symbols of happiness. The symbols or "symbolic attributes" are yidam (meditation deities) and teaching tools. Not only do these attributes (or energetic signatures) point to qualities of enlightened mindstream, they are also the investiture that ornaments these enlightened "qualities." Ashtamangala: parasol, pair of golden fish, conch, treasure vase, lotus, infinite knot, victory banner and wheel.
